Inspired by the wonderful art style of Crash Bandicoot 4, I am attempting to translate one of my favorite Pokemon, Typhlosion, into a "playable character" of the world. Drawing primarily from Dingodile, I hoped to create an unhinged and wild looking Typhlosion that fit his explosive personality and unpredictable nature. I decided to have a flame-emitting apparatus strapped to his body to give that scrapped together feel of Crash Bandicoot characters.
