As a long time fan of Spyro the Dragon, this is a project that is near and dear to me. I would play Spyro with my mother every day for years, and when Spyro Reignited launched, we stayed up all night playing it together. When I saw Nicholas Kole's concept for an adult Spyro, I had to make it.
Coming in at 38k tris (including Sparx) I tried to stay true to the vision of not just the concept artist, but the design language of the animators and 3d artists who worked on Reignited. I made several adjustments to better fit examples of official Spyro art I had seen here on Artstation.
I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed making it.
